The Wish

Tony was never a real strong kid. In fact, he was scrawny. He usually got beat up by upper classmen. But there was one kid who always bullied him. His name was Mike. But Tony knew one day, that would all change.

Tony was at school when it all happened. It was one day before his birthday. Normally any kid would be happy about his special day but Tony wasn't. His special day would be filled with nothing but pain.

"Hey, Tony! Where's my money?" Mike asked.

"Aww, c'mon, Mike. Can't you leave me alone today? It's my birthday." Pleaded Tony.

"Hmm. I might. IF you give me your money." Mike said, smiling evilly.

"But I don't have any money."

"Then I guess I have to kick the shit out of you huh?" And with that, Mike grabbed Tony and punched him in the jaw.

Afterwards, Mike then proceeded to hit Tony in the stomach.  Tony tried to get to his feet but fainted.

"Oh, crap. A teacher!" Mike exclaimed and ran.

One of the teachers saw Tony lying on the ground. His jaw was broken and he appeared to be bleeding.

"Oh my god. Poor kid." The teacher said. "I'd better call his parents."

When Tony woke up, he was in his room.

"Oh, good. You're awake." His grandfather said.

"Hey, grandpa." Tony said sad.

"What's wrong?" Asked his grandfather.

"I jus...I just wish I were stronger. So I could stand up to Mike."

Tony started to cry.

"Don't worry. You will be strong one day. Oh. And by the way, Tony. What's your favorite animal?"

"What?" Tony asked. "Well I guess my favorite animals are wolves. Why do you ask?"

"Oh, just wondering." His grandfather said with a sparkle in his eye. "You should get some sleep>"

"Yeah. Good night."

Tony turned off his lamp. But before he went to sleep, he made a quick birthday wish.

"I wish I were a wolf. then I could teach Mike a thing or two." Tony quietly said to himself.

Tony quickly fell asleep. While sleeping, he didn't notice the fur starting to grow on his chest.

When Tony, woke up, he was thirsty. REALLY thirsty. His chest felt itchy though. As he began scratching it, he stopped. He pulled up his shirt and saw fur covering his chest and stomach. HE thought it was puberty(He's 12, turning 13) and didn't pay any mind to it. But that changed when his backside started to hurt. A large hole ripped in  the back of his pants. He felt back there and found that he now had a bushy tail.

"What in the hell? Why do I have a tail?" He thought. The fur slowly spread across his body. His hands slowly changed into an animal's paws. He looked at his new paws and saw small pads growing on them. His chest barrelled out and began to look like a dog's.

He ran into the bathroom. He looked at his ears. They were now rounded and covered in fur. They had become a DOG'S EARS! His now dog ears slowly moved up his head until they reached the top of his head. His legs cracked and changed shape  and grew fur. He fell on the floor and when he got up, he noticed he couldn't walk like a human anymore. His posture was quadruped. His feet changed so that they looked like his hands. Like his hands, they also had pads on the bottom.

His nose went black and his face grew whiskers. His mouth pushed outward to form a snout.

"Oh my god. I'm becoming a DOG!" Tony thought as he started to sob. He tried to yell for help but alll that emerged was a bark. He was now a wolf.


His grandfather as well as his mom and dad came in to see the new wolf.

"Don't worry, my boy." His grandfather said. "You haven't lost your humanity. this is like a power. It's been in our family for generations. You wished to become a wolf so you became one. That's all." His grandfather explained.

"And if you want to become human, just picture yourself becoming human." His mom finished.

Tony closed his eyes and thought of himself becoming a human and slowly changed back to his normal self.

"Thanks, guys. This is really cool." Tony said happily. "Now I'll get Mike back for sure."

Tony opened the door and changed back into a wolf. He ran off towards Mike's house. He knew he'd get Mike this time because this time, HE was the hunter.
