Problems of a Teenage Demon

Josh was never truly your average teenage boy. What was strange about him was that he had a pair of horns growing out of his head, making him the perfect target for ridicule.

It was a normal day at his high school for Josh. or whatever you could consider to be normal he thought. The day came and the day went. Josh got his stuff and hurried for home. But before he could get to his house, before he could get out the door, he was stopped by one of the bullies that picked on him. This bully was big but didn't look real bright.

"Hey, horn boy. Where ya goin'?" The bully asked in a mocking tone.

"Home. What's it to ya?" Josh said, seemingly not caring.

"You little!" The bully yelled, about to punch Josh.

Just then the bully was stopped by one of the teachers.

"Leave that boy alone!" The teacher yelled, pulling the bully by the ear.

"Score one for the teach." Josh thought with relief.

Josh ran off for home and when he got home, he dropped his book bag and headed for his room.

"Hi, Josh. How was school?" His mom asked.

"Crap." Was all that Josh said.

"Mom. Why do I have horns growing out of my head?" Josh asked.

"Because, Josh. It's your demon blood starting to show itself. I bet soon you'll blossom into the strongest demon anyone has ever seen."

"Whatever." Josh said, falling asleep.

"Good night, Josh." His mom said warmingly as she shut off the lights.

As Josh slept, he didn't realize that claws were starting to grow out of his fingers.

It was 10:00 when Josh woke up. He went into the bathroom to get a glass of water. When he looked at his hands, he noticed the bizzare claws growing out of them. Josh dropped the glass and took three steps back then slumped to the ground. He got up when he realized he was sitting on something. He got up and noticed he now had a tail. His tail had bizarre markings on it. At the bottom of the middle, there was what looked like the top of an arrow with a circle to lead off at the bottom of the middle.

Josh noticed his body as what he thought were some kind of tatoos appeared all over his body. His eyes began to sting. He screwed them shut. When he opened them after they stopped hurting, his eyes now had slits to them. His horns also grew longer from being the little bitty baby horns that he originally had to being massive normal sized horns. His transformation had ended and when he got up to look at himself in the mirror, he screamed. He was amazed to find what he had become.

"Josh, are you okay?!' His mom came into  the bathroom, witnessing what her son had become.

'Do I look like I'm okay?!" Josh yelled.

"You actually look perfect. The transformation came quickly though. i was expecting it to be two more years."

"What is this?" Josh asked.

"Well, your father, his father, and his father's father... Well all of our family actually, were born as demons. We've lived amongst humans, keeping ourselves from being known and killed. Honestly, you've never wondered why you had horns?"

"Of course I did! Wouldn't any kid who was like me?"

"True..." Josh's mom thought.

Josh was actually pretty excited about this new tranformation. He wondered who he could test out his new powers on now. He remembered that there was a dance going on at school tomorrow. He decided then and there, that would be a good chance for the demon to mess with those that messed with him.
